Most folks know Joie from his long time partnership with Michael Gurley and dada. Why not? With seven CD's, a couple of Top 40 hits, including DizzKneeLand and Dim and the gold record selling CD Puzzle it's natural to think that you've seen and heard all there is to know about Joie Calio as a artist.

Natural, but wrong. Since dada took a hiatus around the turn of the milenium, Joie's been busy spreading his creative wings, writing books and producing a solo CD of more personal acoustic music, "The Complications of Glitter". More recently he has been collaborating with guitar and studio wizard Rob Daiker on their new project X Levitation Cult whose inaugural CD "Happiness In Hell" is due out in February 2008, and forming a new band to take XLC music on the road. Oh, and don't worry, dada still remains a major part of his creative and musical life, no second coming of "the hiatus" any time soon..
